3 sold out evenings, 20.000 attendees in one day less programming and a increase of 130% compared to the previous edition, 3 extra events spread across the territory, 65 national and international artists involved, 33 live performances, 15 visual artists, 10 protagonists from the world of video art, 2 video mappings, 24 talks with 56 guests, 5 awards for the 5 categories and a professional program which involved 30 industry professionals for 23 masterclasses and 17 exhibitors in the Expo area, among the new features of this edition; and again: 8 million impressions for a coverage of almost 3 million users reached and involvement of 50 ambassadors and talents who shared the contents of the festival for potential reach on social media 9 millions of followers.
These are the main numbers that stand out the extraordinary success of the sixth edition of Videocittà, the festival of digital vision and culture created by Francesco Rutelli with the artistic direction of Francesco Dobrovich which took place from 13 to 16 July at the Eni Complex of the Gazometro Ostiense in Rome, further developing the theme of the Transition, ecological and digital, inaugurated during the last edition.

An edition that leaves indelible memories in the memory of the public, starting from Mater Terrae, spectacular and monumental site-specific work Mater Terrae signed by the international artistic studio Sila Sveta – among the main producers of cutting-edge multimedia shows, one above all the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 – with the original and spatialized music of Mace, which transformed the largest metal cylinder of the Gazometer for four days in one of the largest audio-video installations ever created. A truly astonishing and moving work, produced by Eni, curated by Videocittà with executive production by Italian events.
And then the dizzying video mapping Shapes and colors of a discovery made by Luca Agnani Studio edited byNational Institute for Nuclear Physics to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the discovery of the Higgs boson, which occurred in 2012 CERN in Geneva and awarded with the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2013; the psychedelic live av performances in the spaces of Opificio 41, the site-specific creation of None Collective and the virtual collective exhibition of kinetic typography entitled Futura which redesigned the Altoforno; Live shows and DJ sets of some of the most interesting exponents of the new national and international audiovisual scene, by the French electronic music duo The Blaze, to the pioneer of house music and digital arts Dixon, to the avant-pop of the American transplanted to Berlin Lyra Pramuk, passing through the Italians Bawrut, Ginevra Nervi, Bnkr44, Geneva ed Elasi.
Again: the works of video artists such as Janis Rafa and Wintermute for the section curated by Damiana Leoni and Rä di Martino which also saw the precious collaboration with the Maxxi – National Museum of XNUMXst Century Arts; preview presentations of The Jackal Meta show 4 Actors – 2 Robots – Infiniti universes – in 5G and Movie Meta Trade, the first talk show on the metaverse born from the collaboration between Publishers and Digital Creators ANICA, Eldorado Agency and Netaddiction; but also the meetings with the artists curated by Daniela Collu, the talks curated by Alessandro Luna on the relationship between journalism and new media and those edited by Nicholas Ballario on the relationship between means of communication and contemporary culture.
